Overview of the 4 Patas System<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Amigos de 4 Patas (AMIGOS), we are a volunteer organization dedicated to helping people who rescue foster dogs in their homes. Our adoption system provides food, vaccines, deworming, and sterilization for the dogs in our care. If you\u2019ve rescued a dog and need assistance with finding it a new home, we\u2019re here to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Points to Know:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Rescue and Veterinary Care:<\/strong> If your rescue dog requires immediate medical attention, please take it to a vet as we don\u2019t offer 24-hour emergency services. Bring any veterinary records to your first appointment with us or submit them with your Intake Form (available in English<\/a> and Spanish<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Commitment and Process:<\/strong> Once we have a vacancy in our program, an intake coordinator will contact you to discuss the program and answer any questions. You\u2019ll also sign a Commitment Letter (available in English or Spanish).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Adoption Promotion:<\/strong> Once your dog is vaccinated and healthy, we will advertise it in various registries in the US, Canada, and Mexico. We also will expect you to bring your dog for behavior assessments, clinic appointments, and adoption events (PetCo Express in La Paz). We collaborate with you and potential adopters to ensure a good match for the dog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Transportation:<\/strong> When the adoption is confirmed, we arrange transportation to the dog\u2019s new home.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Important Note:<\/strong> We are not equipped to accept dogs for direct deposit, pick up strays, or handle cases of animal abuse or neglect. Please contact the appropriate authorities<\/a> for those situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To begin the process of getting your rescued dog adopted, please complete the Intake Form in either English<\/a> or Spanish<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
