Some dogs dream of climbing mountains, running marathons, and exploring the great outdoors.
Fito has more reasonable ambitions.
Breakfast.
A comfortable place to sleep.
Dinner.
And someone wonderful coming home to tell him what a good boy he is.
Fito is a Professional Lounger, and he has dedicated himself to mastering the fine art of relaxation.
His daily schedule is carefully organized.
Morning: Breakfast.
Midmorning: Nap.
Afternoon: Check whether dinner is ready.
Late afternoon: Another nap.
Evening: Celebrate the arrival of his favorite humans.
Repeat as necessary.
Fito is a calm, happy, affectionate fellow who believes that the best things in life are good food, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the company of people he loves.
And while he might look like he’s ready to leap into action at any moment, don’t be fooled by those magnificent ears.
He’s probably just listening for the sound of the food bowl.
Fito’s story began during a walk through an arroyo, when a group of dogs encountered a rather unexpected addition to their pack.
Fito.
Apparently deciding that these looked like perfectly respectable companions, he simply joined the group and followed everyone home.
No formal introductions required.
Unfortunately, just three days later, Fito was diagnosed with parvovirus, a serious illness that can be particularly dangerous for young dogs.
But Fito wasn’t ready to give up on his plans for a comfortable future. With care and treatment, he pulled through.
Today, he’s a gentle, easygoing boy who enjoys human companionship and is gradually overcoming his initial shyness.
He already knows how to sit and come when called. As for more advanced obedience training, Fito is willing to discuss the matter.
Preferably after his nap.
With his low energy level, Fito would be happiest in a loving home where he can relax, enjoy a patio, and spend time with his family. A home with children could be a wonderful match for this affectionate boy.
He doesn’t need a marathon runner or a personal trainer.
He needs someone who appreciates a quieter pace of life, understands that he may take a little time to feel completely comfortable, and knows that a good nap is never a waste of an afternoon.
Fito has already survived a difficult beginning.
Now he’d like to concentrate on the important things.
A full belly.
A soft bed.
A family to love.
And absolutely no appointments before breakfast.
