I’m Nena. A few months ago, when I was living on the streets, I heard someone say that a dog like me could never run, play, go to the beach, meet other dogs, spend time with a family, or—simply put—live. People say all sorts of things… but I didn’t care, because I knew the truth.

Look at me: I run, play, jump, go to the beach, enjoy being with kids and other dogs, smile, chase cats (which I don’t like one bit), and share my love equally with my humans—I am truly living.

And do you know how I do all this? You’d never guess. Even though you saw my photo, I’m sure my dazzling smile kept you from noticing that I only have three legs! I’m a “tripod,” a marvel of nature, a magical triangle of balance.

I’m Nena. I can, and I will. Just watch me!

P.S. Nena has strong opinions, and we—her rescuers—have a few requirements for her future home: we are looking for a loving indoor home where she won’t spend much time alone and where there are no cats. We also want plenty of space, since she loves to run on her three cute legs—surely to keep proving to us every day that nothing can hold her back.
