Cookie has certain expectations about life.

There should be walks.

There should be toys.

There should be room to run.

And, most importantly, there should be people who understand that dogs are meant to be loved, not scolded.

Cookie learned these things from an expert.

She spent her life as the beloved companion of a grandmother who took her for daily walks, gave her space to play, and taught her that home is supposed to be a happy and safe place.

Sadly, Cookie’s grandmother passed away, and now Cookie is looking for someone willing to maintain the standards to which she has become accustomed.

She doesn’t think she’s asking for much.

Cookie is cheerful, playful and happiest when she’s doing something with her people. She loves running freely, going for walks and spending quality time with her toys. She has medium energy, so after she’s had her fun, she’s quite capable of accepting that even a busy girl needs some downtime.

She also gets along with other dogs and isn’t looking for trouble. She would much rather spend her time playing.

Cookie already comes when called, although—as a young lady with important things to do—there are still plenty of other skills she can learn with her new family.

Her ideal home would have some outdoor space, people who enjoy playing and walking with her, and plenty of companionship. What Cookie doesn’t want is a life spent alone, without room to move or with people who believe yelling is a useful form of communication.

After all, her grandmother taught her better than that.

Cookie has already known a life filled with walks, play and love.

She’s simply looking for someone who can keep up the family tradition.
