Every successful organization needs someone in charge of making sure things get done.

And someone in charge of making sure things get interesting.

Meet Shirley.

Shirley has appointed herself Director of Fun and Games, a position for which she is extraordinarily qualified and from which she has absolutely no intention of retiring.

Her responsibilities include organizing spontaneous races around the yard, testing the durability of toys, encouraging other dogs to participate in recreational activities, and reminding humans that they have two perfectly good hands for giving attention.

Preferably both at once.

Shirley is a happy, playful, wonderfully rambunctious girl who believes that life is meant to be enjoyed at full speed. She loves other dogs, adores toys, and considers a securely fenced yard one of humanity’s greatest inventions.

After all, where else is a girl supposed to practice her high-speed maneuvers?

Shirley and her sister Laverne were found abandoned beside a road. Both appeared to have been cared for previously, but somehow ended up without a home.

Fortunately, Shirley hasn’t let that experience interfere with her enthusiasm for life.

New people? Excellent!

New dogs? Even better!

New toys? Now we’re talking!

Shirley gets along well with people and friendly dogs, and she doesn’t have problems with food guarding. She’s already learned to come when called, although her formal education is still a work in progress.

Sit? Not yet.

Stay? Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Come? Absolutely!

Especially if something exciting might happen.

Shirley has plenty of energy and needs a family that appreciates an active dog. Her ideal home would have a securely fenced yard, other friendly dogs to play with, and humans who enjoy spending time with her.

Aggressive canine roommates and apartment living are not on her wish list.

What Shirley wants most is a home where she can be included, loved, and given plenty of opportunities to do what she does best.

Have fun.

And perhaps convince everyone else to join her.

After all, life is too short to spend it sitting on the sidelines.

Especially when there’s a perfectly good yard waiting.
