Some dogs are perfectly happy to spend the day watching the world go by.
Tana would prefer to know where we’re going.
And whether we’re taking the car.
Tana has appointed herself Adventure Coordinator, a position that involves organizing walks, supervising outdoor activities, testing toys, and making sure her humans don’t forget that running and jumping are perfectly respectable ways to spend an afternoon.
She’s also a big fan of road trips.
Destination? Not particularly important.
Are we going somewhere together? Excellent. Let’s go!
Tana is a playful, affectionate, attentive girl who enjoys learning and following instructions. In fact, her list of accomplishments is rather impressive.
Sit? Check.
Stay? Check.
Come when called? Check.
Walk nicely alongside her human? Check.
Fetch and return a toy? Absolutely!
She’s practically ready to teach the class.
But Tana isn’t all business. She loves affection, especially gentle pets on her face and back. And when she’s not organizing her next adventure, she’s perfectly happy enjoying the company of her favorite humans.
Tana has been loved and cared for since she was just two months old. She’s healthy, active, and has grown up knowing what it means to be part of a family.
Unfortunately, sometimes even a much-loved dog needs a different home.
Like many dogs, Tana barks when unfamiliar people or animals appear. In her current household, that barking has become particularly difficult for a family member who is sensitive to noise. Her family wants her to have a home where she can be herself without causing distress to someone she loves.
And Tana has quite a lot of herself to share!
She enjoys the company of other dogs and cats, loves exercise, and would be delighted with a large, securely fenced yard where she can run, jump, and play.
Her energy level is moderate, but she needs a family that enjoys being active. Apartment living or a household where everyone prefers the couch to the outdoors wouldn’t be her best match.
She hasn’t lived with children, so her behavior around them is not yet known.
Tana is looking for someone who appreciates an intelligent, affectionate companion with an adventurous spirit—and who understands that she may announce the arrival of unfamiliar visitors.
In return, she’ll bring enthusiasm, companionship, plenty of affection, and a very important question every morning:
“So, where are we going today?”
