Paws for Change: Unveiling Our Lifesaving Programs
Through our Clínica 4 Patas: Bienestar , we provide free spay/neuter, vaccines, and preventive care for pets in La Paz—helping stop abandonment before it begins.
Across Mexico, the U.S., and Canada, volunteers work together to give abandoned dogs a second chance. From clinic care and foster homes to transportation and adoptions, every step of the journey is powered by people who believe no dog should be left behind.
In La Paz, local rescuers—known as rescatistas—open their homes to dogs in need, nursing them back to health and preparing them for adoption. Some spend months, even years, rehabilitating a single dog before saying a bittersweet goodbye and starting again with the next one in need.
We support these rescatistas with food, veterinary care, and adoption outreach, ensuring they have the resources to continue their lifesaving work. Along the way, they also inspire their communities—teaching friends, family, and neighbors about responsible pet care and the importance of sterilization.
Every adoption is more than a happy ending—it’s the start of another rescue. Your support makes this cycle of compassion possible.
Adoption
Every adoption opens space for another dog in need. Our team carefully matches dogs with loving homes, ensuring each adoption is a fresh start for both dog and family. Visit our adoptable dogs here.
Transportation
At least half of our dogs find homes in the U.S. and Canada. Dedicated volunteers drive them from La Paz to San Diego, where they fly to their new families. Safe transport is the bridge between rescue and adoption. Help a dog get home.
Clinic and care
Through our private clinic and food program, we provide rescues with medical care, vaccinations, and quality nutrition. With donor support, we keep more than 70 dogs healthy each month while preparing them for adoption. Keep dogs healthy
