Meet Lola
Lola is a calm, affectionate, and shy young dog with a heart full of love. She was rescued along with her friend Paco after being abandoned by a former owner struggling with addiction. Despite this rough start, Lola is a tender soul who just needs a little timeâand a few treatsâto show her true, beautiful personality.
She loves to eat, play, and run, especially when she has other dogs to keep her company. Lola does best in a home with a patient, loving person who can help her feel safe, and with other dogs to play with and learn from. She knows some basic commands like "stay," "come," and how to walk nicely on a leash.
Lola is still nervous around loud noises and raised voices, likely due to past mistreatment. She would not do well in a home with cats (she chases them), or one where sheâs left alone for long periods. Because she may try to escape, a secure home (not open or unfenced) is a must.
