United Hearts and Paws: Building a Compassionate Community for Dogs in La Paz, Mexico

Hope 4 La Pawz is a registered charity in Washington State, and we also have 501(c)(3) status with the US federal government. This allows our donors to receive tax deductions in the US.

In Mexico, we operate under the name Amigos de 4 Patas, which gives us the legal authority to work in both countries.

Our mission is to end the suffering of stray and abandoned dogs in La Paz. We collaborate with local community members who rescue dogs and foster them in their homes. During this process, we provide food, veterinary care, supplies, and ongoing support until we find permanent homes for the dogs. This community-based approach involves people who are passionate about changing the culture and stopping the cycle of abuse and neglect. While we are not a traditional shelter, our work has a lasting impact on both the animals and the community.
