One of the simplest ways to make a planned gift to Hope 4 La Pawz is to make a bequest in your will.  Here is some simple language you can add to your will (confirm with your lawyer or tax advisor).

Specific:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Hope 4 La Pawz at 1004 Commercial Avenue #155, Anacortes, WA 98221 (Tax Id 87-1890430)

1) The sum of $_____________.” Or

2) __________% of my estate.” Or

3) __________shares of stock in _______________Company.” Or

4) My real property, parcel number #____________, located at____________________________.”

Residual:

“I give, devise and bequeath to Hope 4 La Pawz at 1004 Commercial Avenue #155, Anacortes, WA 98221 (Tax Id 87-1890430) [all or a percentage] of the residue of my estate.”

*Residue is defined as that which remains after debts and expenses of administration, legacies and all other devises have been satisfied.”

Giving through a bequest lowers your federal estate taxes because the donated assets are deducted before the estate tax is calculated.

Hope 4 La Pawz is a Washington State corporation and is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code.
